He has been active in real estate financing since 1996 and has held positions at Westland/Utrecht Hypotheekbank, ING REF, Van Lanschot Bankiers, FGH Bank, and RNHB. At FGH Bank, he worked for over four years in the Non-Performing Loans department, where he gained extensive experience in restructuring and complex financing issues.

This combination of commercial experience and knowledge of unique situations makes him well-equipped to understand diverse interests and translate them into viable solutions. At Asset Partners, he uses this background to effectively guide transactions and deepen relationships.

Mattijs studied Business Economics at Windesheim, earned an MBA from TIAS, and completed the course on Insolvency Law for Banks at the CPO.
