He has worked in real estate finance since 1996 and has held roles at Westland/Utrecht Hypotheekbank, ING REF, Van Lanschot Bankiers, FGH Bank and RNHB. At FGH Bank, he spent more than four years in the Special Servicing team, where he gained extensive experience in restructuring and complex financing situations.

This combination of commercial experience and expertise in special situations enables him to understand a wide range of stakeholder interests and translate them into workable solutions. At Asset Partners, he uses this background to support transactions effectively and further strengthen client relationships.

Mattijs studied Business Economics at Windesheim, completed an MBA at TIAS, and completed the Insolvency Law for Banks programme at CPO.
