Privacy and Cookie Statement

Who We Are

Asset Partners B.V., together with its subsidiaries (collectively referred to below as Asset Partners), is an independent corporate finance firm specializing in financing solutions for real estate and other real assets. This statement applies to all entities within Asset Partners.

Why do we process personal data?

We process personal data solely for legitimate purposes:

Providing our services;
Maintaining relationships with suppliers, partners and investors;
Complying with legal obligations, such as the Dutch Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft) and tax laws;
Marketing and relationship management, including newsletters and events;
Analyzing and improving our website and online services;
Ensuring security and preventing fraud or misuse;
Recruiting and selecting employees.

What personal data do we process?

Depending on your relationship with us, this may include:

Name, position and contact details;
Business information and correspondence;
Identification and background information where required by law;
Financial information, such as payment details or invoices;
Website data, including IP address, device, and browser, as well as data regarding the use of our newsletter;
Job application information, such as a résumé, cover letter and any screening results.

Legal bases for processing

Personal data is processed on the basis of:

Performance of a contract;
Compliance with legal obligations;
Legitimate interest, such as relationship management, security, and sending our newsletter to customers and business contacts;
Consent, where required, such as when non-customers and non-business contacts subscribe to our newsletter. In both cases, you can unsubscribe with each issue.

With whom do we share data?

Data may be shared with service providers working on our behalf, such as IT and administrative service providers; with Brevo, for sending and tracking our newsletter; with Pipedrive, our customer relationship management system; with Google, for website analytics and ad tracking as described in Section 08; with banks, accountants, regulators, and other parties where required by law; and with government agencies. When data is shared outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the GDPR.

Retention periods

We do not retain personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a statutory retention period requires a longer retention period. We track data on the use of our newsletter in rolling three- and twelve-month periods; data older than that is no longer included. If you unsubscribe, we will stop tracking and delete the stored reading history.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.

Our website uses functional, analytical, and advertising cookies. Functional cookies are necessary for the website to work. We use analytical cookies to measure and improve website usage; for this purpose, we use Google Analytics. Advertising cookies are placed via Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) and allow us to measure the reach and impact of our campaigns. In addition, we use a cookie-free visitor statistics tool that does not store any data in cookies. For analytical and advertising cookies, we ask for your consent in advance via the cookie notification. There, you can grant or deny consent separately for each category. Without that consent, these cookies will not be set: the default setting for analytics, advertising, and personalization purposes is “declined.” The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 11.7a of the Telecommunications Act). We set functional cookies based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the website functions properly. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie Settings at the bottom of each page. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place prior to that withdrawal. In addition, you can delete cookies that have been placed via your browser settings. Our newsletter contains a small, invisible image file that allows us to see when an issue has been opened, as well as links that track which ones have been clicked. We use this information to assess whether the newsletter aligns with your interests. Based on this, we automatically segment recipients according to their level of engagement. This segmentation has no legal consequences for you and does not lead to decisions that significantly affect you. You may object to this processing or unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of each edition. In connection with this service, Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. The safeguards described in Section 05 apply in this regard. When using social media buttons, third parties may place cookies. Please refer to their own privacy policies for more information.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your data, request that it be restricted, or request the portability of your data. If we have processed your data based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place prior to that. You may object at any time to the use of your data for direct marketing, including our newsletter; we will then cease such processing immediately. You can unsubscribe directly via the link at the bottom of each issue. You may submit requests via the contact address below. We may ask you to provide identification.
