Prior to joining Asset Partners, Gijs worked as a managing director at an investment company active in real estate and shipping. Earlier in his career, he worked in the corporate finance team of an international broker in the money and capital markets.

He has extensive experience in acquisitions and disposals and has been involved in structuring a range of open- and closed-end investment funds. With a strong understanding of the dynamics between investors, lenders and transaction structures, he brings capital markets expertise that helps translate complex transactions into practical, workable solutions.

Gijs studied Spatial Planning at the University of Groningen and was also active as an international competitive rower.
