Before joining Asset Partners, Gijs worked as a director at an investment firm specializing in real estate and shipping. Prior to that, he was a member of the corporate finance team at an international broker in the money and capital markets.

He has extensive experience with buyout and sale processes and has been involved in structuring various open-end and closed-end investment funds. His background gives him insight into the dynamics between investors, financiers, and investment structures. In addition, he has relevant capital markets experience that helps him translate complex transactions into solutions that stand up in practice.

Gijs studied Urban Planning at the University of Groningen and was also an active international competitive rower.
