Acquisition financing for an office building in Alkmaar

Background

The client sought to acquire a modern multi-tenant office building in Alkmaar. The property, prominently located near Alkmaar Central Station, comprises approximately 9,862 m² of rentable floor area across nine floors and includes a parking garage with 136 spaces. The building stands out in the local market because of its high-quality finishes, sustainable design and excellent accessibility.

Shortly beforehand, Rabobank had emerged as the strongest financing partner through a competitive tender process for an earlier acquisition by the same client. This relationship was therefore continued for this financing request.

The targeted approach worked to the client's advantage. The terms obtained in the earlier competitive process were offered here as well, and because the property's appraised value exceeded the purchase price, Rabobank was able to provide a larger loan than originally requested. Rabobank proved to be a flexible and constructive partner, and the one-on-one process created room to fully optimize the financing structure.
