Acquisition financing for an office building in Alkmaar

Background

The client wished to acquire a modern multi-tenant office building in Alkmaar. The property, situated in a prominent location near Alkmaar’s central station, comprises approximately 9,862 m² of leasable floor space spread over nine floors and features a parking garage with 136 parking spaces. The building stands out in the local market due to its high-quality finishes, sustainable design, and excellent accessibility.

Asset Partners deliberately chose to work one-on-one with Rabobank. Shortly before that, Rabobank had emerged as the strongest financing partner through a competitive bidding process for a previous purchase by the same client. This partnership was therefore continued for this financing application.

The targeted approach worked to the client’s advantage. The terms previously agreed upon during the competitive bidding process were also offered here, and because the appraised value of the property exceeded the purchase price, Rabobank was able to provide a higher level of financing than originally requested. Rabobank proved to be a flexible and constructive partner in this process, and the one-on-one collaboration allowed us to maximize the potential of the financing structure.

The financing laid a solid foundation for the continued operation of a sustainable, fully leased office property in a prime office location in North Holland.
